Advisor Services Specialist
Opportunity:
We are looking for a highly organized, ambitious candidate to join our firm’s advisor support team, with a focus on business processing. The Advisor Services Specialist will work closely with our advisors and members of our leadership team to provide a high level of service and support as they work to positively impact the lives, lifestyles and legacies of their clients. Daily/weekly interaction with counterparts in the Michigan location via phone, email and/or virtual meetings. The Advisor Support Team is integral in streamlining processes for our financial advisors so they can spend more of their time doing what they do best. This full-time position will be housed in our San Antonio, Texas office. Growth opportunities in this role could include involvement in the firm’s leadership team.
Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Train & assist financial advisors with technology systems related to new business submission.
- Help advisors in Texas, Michigan and other locations (if needed) troubleshoot and be the liaison between the advisor and broker dealer for business processing questions.
- Learn broker dealer systems, such as eQuipt, Annuity Submission Platform, Wealthscape, etc., to assist and train advisors with account set up and/or ongoing maintenance questions.
- Assist with the smooth transition of experienced advisors’ accounts/clients joining our firm.
- Provide training for assistants of newly hired advisors.
- Assist compliance team with approval process for new account openings, trade blotter, etc.
- Participate in firm-wide meetings on various subjects with the potential for a speaking role.
- Develop a positive support relationship with financial advisors and other firm associates & staff.
- Learn and help advisors optimize utilization of their Client Relationship Management software.
- Various projects as needed and communicated to by the MFC/PWS leadership team.
- Backup receptionist duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Study for and obtain the following licenses and registrations within the first 12 months of hire: Series 7, 66 and Group 1: Life and Health Insurance. Studying time will be after hours and on weekends. The firm will reimburse the cost of each license and registration upon successful passing of the exam.
- Must have excellent customer service, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
- Ability to learn other software programs.
- Ability to be flexible and work cross-functionally across the firm.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ideal candidate would have a bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field and at least 1 year of experience in the financial services profession.
- Ideal candidate should have experience utilizing a CRM software such as Redtail, SmartOffice, or Wealthbox.
