During his college swimming career, Clayton worked as Head Coach for the Timberwood Park Swim Team coaching young athletes from ages of 5 to 18, teaching them to set goals and create workouts to help them reach their full potential. During the COVID pandemic he worked with the HOA to create a summer swim clinic for the children of the neighborhood. As a real estate support professional, he worked to help agents with research to evaluate properties and real estate investment opportunities.

Outside of work Clayton is an avid outdoorsman. He is active in his local Ducks Unlimited chapter that focuses on waterfowl and wetland conservation. He volunteers as a duck hunting guide for Cross Trail Outfitters, a youth ministry organization that teaches the gospel to young men through outdoor activities like hunting and fishing. He attends Community Bible Church as his place of worship. As a member of the University of Incarnate Word swim team from 2016-2020. Clayton and his fellow Cardinals won 3 conference championships.
